| Abstract/Description |
No audio. Moscow circus and audience but vastly speeded up. Has embedded time code. After frenetic pace of opening, it is filmed at ordinary speed. Has trapeze, globe of death, the little Shetland ponies that have appeared elsewhere (Harry Weber?), and teeterboard acrobatics (Vladimir’s?). – Some nice footage of tricks. Lots of vox pops with audience but as no audio a bit useless. Elephants (3) with male trainer. Dog act. Has some footage of Hugo Zamoratte – the contortionist who fits into the glass jar – he is in the undated Moscow Circus programme (along with Druzhina . Good footage of this. Looked in programme - and in ad. for Hilton Hotels gives date 1988, though I think this is questionable. Acts in these rushes appear to be for this undated program – also includes the Wheel of Death which appears in that programme and the trapeze artist looks similar. |
