Simple Facts [includes review of first concert] |
| Abstract/Description |
The First Concert at the Royal Hotel, held on the evening of Tnursday last, was numerously attended. The vocalists as well as the instrumental performers acquitted themselves in very respectable style, making every allowance of course for a first night, and the audience appeared perfectly satisfied. Mr. Levey certainly deserves every encouragement for his endeavours to promote rational amusement in Sydney, and we do hope that the public will not be insensible of his exertions, but will afford him that substantial patronage which he so unquestionably merits. |
