| Abstract/Description |
DEAR old Judith Halse Rogers, just as wrapped up as ever in the Womans' College and S.U.D.S.,is rehearsing the leading part in the latter's newest production. Thank heavens it is to be nothing high-brow this time (the last effort left me prostrated for days) From the Pled Piper to "The Cuckoo in the Nest" is certainly from the sublime to the ridiculous. S.U.D.S. hasn't nearly the same
pull this year, as all the nicest students used to join just to pal up with Phil Game and be invited, to tennis at Govt. House. However, a smattering of the old brigade is still hanging on, and is sure to pull the play through, between
them. Peter Osborn hasn't done much after winning that film competition, has he? But then I suppose the producers must find a lad like Peter a tiny bit difficult to cast. I certainly can't imagine him playing the squatter hero. |
