| Abstract/Description |
At the Gaiety Theatre, Castlereagh-street, last night a large assemblage of ladies and gentlemen met to see a performance by the members of the University Amataur Dramatic Society of C.S. Fawcett's play entitled " A Tragedy." ... The piece was very amusing, being a representation of the extraordinary complications ensuing on a rehearsal of a drama, heard through a closed door, being misunderstood by listeners to be the actual perpetration of a crime, in which chloroform and nitro-glycerine are instruments. |
