Crotchets and Quavers. Another Ship Held Up. |
| Abstract/Description |
A year has passed since the Council of the Musical Association gave a reading of the work. After the reading the Repertory Society arranged for a production in which Mr. Hill was to assist ... "The peculiar nature of the piece," says Mr. Hill, "demands experienced singers, and at the same time a certain type of personality and dancing ability. Many people of promise were 'tried out,' and It was found that while a number had beautiful voices they had no stage experience and could not dance. Those who could act and dance could not sing. So rather than spoil the work we decided to wait till other artists should be available." |
