Title [Sydney Mechanics Institute]
Abstract/Description The Committee of the Sydney Mechanic's Institute have taken possession of that new and apparently commodious building in Pitt-street: it is not quite finished, but is expected to be in a state of readiness to receive the library and apparatus in the course of the present week. Mr. Watson, a gentleman not long from England, where he conducted a subscription library of considerable magnitude, has been appointed Librarian to the Institution.
