Abstract/Description The second part of the entertainment consisted of Gilbert and Sullivan's burlesque comic opera, "H. M. S. Pinafore, or the Lass that Loves a Sailor." ... The opera was thoroughly enjoyable, and received the warm applause of the audience, the curtain rising at the close in acknowledgment.
