| Title |
A new life for the Cameo Theatre |
| Abstract/Description |
The Cameo is used to having its face lifted. Movies have been shown on this site since the earliest days. First, in the 1900's, came the Queen's Hall. Later this became the American Theatre; then, with alterations, the Shell; then, with more alterations, the Arcadia — which saw talkies come in. The Cameo dates back to 1935, when Roxy Theatre's, Ltd., transformed the Arcadia. |
