Title Her Majesty's Theatre
Abstract/Description Among the conveniences which Sydney still lacks is that of a spacious theatre fitted up with the latest appliances for the promotion of comfort and safety, and we are pleased to hear that, mainly owing to the efforts and enterprise of Mr. James Allison, this want will soon be supplied. Mr. Allison has acquired a block of land, having a frontage of 110 feet to Pitt street, opposite Farmer and Co.'s establishment, and a frontage to Market-street, and upon this it is proposed to erect a first-class theatre and opera house, to be called Her Majesty's Theatre. A limited liability Company has been formed for the purpose of leasing the ground from Mr. Allison for 31 years, and erecting on it a splendid building, which shall contain a large theatre, two hotels, a club, shops, and a bodega
