| Abstract/Description |
'At the Races' is one of the funniest shows presented by Mo and his Merrymakers. Mo, as the crack lightweight jockey, was a spectacle never before seen on any racecourse in the world. Intending punters on this peerless horseman are strongly advised to always back him both ways — first and last. A feature of the production was the bright mounting and frocking of the girls of the cast, and the general toning up promises well for future productions in the new year. The Kailis were again strongly in evidence, and the singing of these two Hawaiian artists was greatly applauded. Several new and pleasing dance numbers were introduced by the exquisite Brunette Girls. While the Charleston Symphonists, with their syncopated melodies, kept the whole show moving at express speed. |
