Night Worship of the Beautiful is the translation of the title of the Ancient Chinese opera "Yea Jai Back Lin" presented at the Imperial Theatre (now Temperance Hall) in aid of the Melbourne Hospital by the Melbourne Chinese Amateur Players, otherwise known as the the Tai Chung Hwa concert society. By permission of the Tivoli, the Eastern Brothers, Chinese acrobats, appear. Chinese girl dancers and conjuring tricks will also be presented. Chinese swimmer Kwok Chun Hang also played the Chinese piano. |
