| Abstract/Description |
On the face of it, or rather on the many and diverse faces of it as revealed in his memoir, Jim Daly can without exaggeration or irony be called an Australian Renaissance man. His long professional acting career has largely been spent as a performer in independent and fringe theatre, first in Adelaide, and then principally in Melbourne, while he has also worked in Australian film, television and radio. Moreover, he has managed to fit into his life a lengthy career as a high school teacher of English (also French and Latin), taking on relief teaching work after his decision at the age of forty to pursue a full-time career as an actor. |
