The foundation stone for the original School of Arts was laid in 1880 on land cheaply supplied in Eskbank (later Lithgow) by Thomas Brown "near the Presbyterian Church, Courthouse and Post Office". In 1907 the School of Arts moved to the corner of Mort and Bridge Streets in the new library building. | |
