Maria Ribot is a tall pale Spanish performence artist now living in London. She recently won the prestigious Le Prix de la Critique MIMOS 99 Perigueux. Her hair changes bright colour frequently, as do her clothes when she wears any, which is not often. Her work is offered in small, dry, very funny episodes after each of which she has a tendency literally to throw away the props. This is performance at the height of intelligence, wit and belly laughs.
