Description During the first minstrelsy half Bert Banvard, dressed as a girl, sat next to his brother in the plantation semi-circle ... many in the audience mistook him for Miss Dora Taylor, the Human Butterfly, who was making her first appearance in Coolgardie. The stage was not suited to Mis Taylor's style of dance. Willie, Edward and Bert Banvard performed the trapeze 'Leap of Life' ... the element of danger seems always to add zest to the audience's enjoyment.
