| Description |
To the End of Reckoning is based on Young’s interest in the much-publicised case of Jock Palfreeman, an Australian serving 20 years for murder in a Bulgarian prison. Drawing on her letters and travels to meet Jock, Young’s play deals with racism and political oppression, cowardice, bravery and the danger of judgement. But it is also about the playwright’s own obsession with the case and her ever-growing suspicion about Jock’s innocence. |
