| Description |
Ravel's endless curiosity for the sources of beauty gave rise to a body of music that stands amongst the most beloved creations of the 20th century. His Piano Concerto for the left hand conveys a series of triumph, and was written to celebrate the fortitude of pianist Paul Wittgenstein who overcame the loss of his right arm in the First World War. |
