Description To raise funds for the British Orphans' Adoption Society, a play will be staged in the Minerva Theatre, King's Cross, on Sunday night, June 30. Title of the play is "The Corn Is Green " by Emlyn Williams. Admission will be free. An appeal for funds will be made. The play will be presented by the Independent Theatre, with an amateur cast. Producer will be Miss Doris Fitton. Mr. Sumner Locke-Elliott will play the lead. The society has received 1030 offers to adopt children.
