| Description |
"Tensile presents an image of a marionette within the realm of absurdity. The sense of chaos is magnified as all movement and sound is initiated by suspension. The acoustic qualities of the sound produced by the piano wire are in essence comical and absurd. These are at once influenced by the presence of the 44 gallon drums; their previous function remains ambiguous, their original manufacture does not.
The overall image presents the tension between gravity, the body suspended, and movement. Each aspect is conveyed both visually and audibly." |
