Description "The Strange Machine employs an assemblage of debris collected from urban demolition sites to explore differing modes of temporality inherent in the materials. In an odyssey, unlikely forms meet their traditional orchestral embodiment - a symphony is possible for a while - then all returns to its contemporary fragmentation."

"Four instrument/machines are performed live by one performer in combination with audio recordings. As the performer adjusts his speed, the recordings stay the same, thus creating a multi-layered temporal and textural structure."
