Programme: "This lecture provides insight into the use of time as a structural device in the experiments of John Cage, Merce Cunningham and the post-moderns Tharp, Dean, Childs & Brown, and surveys the use of time in Western dance as a methodology for these experiments and new structures. It also looks at the development of contemporary choreography and 20th century influences including Dadaism and Futurism." |
