A photographic installation by Sue Douglas Murray.
Artist statement: "To hold a camera in hand is to accept the role of 'photographer' in an act of voyeurism. In this photographic performance the actor 'photographer' is isolated from the subject by the physical body of the camera which is positioned in front of the fact like a mask. The 'photographer' is further detached from the real by his/her personal vision. The installation Isolated Interiors deals wit this alienating aspect of the photographic experience from a photographers point of view" |
