Oliver Goldsmith's witty, romantic comedy set in 18th century England, makes superb theatre. The clownish Tony Lumpkin tricks the gentlemen into thinking his step-father's house is an inn. The result- utter confusion, but finally a happy ending for the gentlemen and the two beautiful ladies fo the house. |
