Description |
Cabaret Politique uses the songs and political events of the 1930's as a window to the emerging social and political life of Australia in the 1990's. Through interviews with migrants, Indigenous and other Australians, it has pieced together the human stories behind racism, 'dispossession, power and complicity. The talented singers, actors and writers of Trio Gusto cost a satirical yet compassionate eye over the current political landscape. They bring a fresh interpretation to the music with their original arrangements and style. |
