Description Fascinated by what they see on the television, a contemporary family is drawn into the viewing of a 19th century opera, so to speak. But what results is not just a framework in which the family "plays" the opera roles, nor is there a simple transposition of the time and place of the action - Renaissance Venice to the middle class living room. The production shows two equal and equally important levels of action and meaning at the same time, intruding on each other and interwoven. The romantic intrigues of the dramatic figures Gioconda-Barnaba-Alvise-Laura-Enzo-Cieca are presented as projections, objects of identification and group fantasies - and of course, at the same time, theatrical everyday people of our own time. Six opera figures seen through the temperament of six theatre figures - or, six characters find their opera!
