Description |
All of Albee's lacerating wit and incendiary character conflict is allowed to run free resulting in a peeling away of the social charades of two couples and the revelation of their true marital situations which have been buried beneath layers of lies and deception...the action is set entirely in the living room of George and Martha's home in small New England (USA) university town, where a younger couple - a new staff appointment and his fragile young wife - join their hosts. |
