Over several summers, Trio Mediaeval and trumpeter Arve Henriksen met by Norway’s beautiful Dalsfjorden. There, Rímur was born. Fusing Icelandic sagas, lilting chants, folk songs, ancient hymns and contemporary improvisations, the quartet fashioned
a series of time-bending, lyrical meditations. |
