| Description |
Post-punk provocateurs The Pop Group were fast, hard and blindingly short lived. In their fleeting career from 1978-1980 the band exploded from their early DIY-ethic into full-blown socio-political heroes, developing a reputation for anarchic live shows and wide-reaching influence. Opened by the world premiere performance of a new collaboration between Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes), Simon Barker (acclaimed jazz drummer) and local choreographer and dancer Ade Suharto. |
