Description |
The true story of 86 year old haberdasher Mavis Taylor. In 1999 horrified by the images of devastation, this mother of nine surprises friends and family by leaving Australia for East Timor to set up a women's sewing co-operative. Mavis tackles the deprivation, red tape and her own doubts that she is up to the job and successfully establishes seventeen sewing centres. |
