Description Based on the true 1892 case of Amber Murray, an 18year old single mother from Redfern. In an era when birth control was not available, abortion violent and illegal, and employment scare, Murray was urged to advertise her baby Horace, to more privilged carers. "The Hatpin" follows Amber's tirelss efforts to reform her life for her son in the face of terrifying and wicked adversity.
