Description |
Miriam Margolyes is one of the most knowledgeable and brilliant interpreters of Charles Dickens and her wonderful sense of humour shines through as she traces the startling similarities of the women in Dickens' work and life. Among the 23 different characters (both male and female) Miriam brings to life to tell Charles Dickens' story, there is the "Old Curiosity Shop" Little Nell, the loyal Mrs Micawber from "David Copperfield" (inspired by Dickens' own mother), and the cold, embittered Miss Havisham from "Great Expectations". |
