Description |
Biomachines was conceptualised as a large scale event featuring an autonomous entertainment arena combining a range of art practices from sound to performance to multimedia. It brought together Australian and international artists with industrial, sound and machine based works. All of the works were performative and many were interactive. Produced at the Old Hart Mill in Port Adelaide, Biomachines was an anarchic and carnivalesque post-industrial environment of feral robotics, machines, performance, sound and bizarre devices. Part factory, part club, part performance space - it was an interactive underworld where the audience became both explorers and users. |
