| Description |
From Scratch is a New Zealand based music/performance group with an international reputation for innovation and an energetic and tightly disciplined style of performance.
"The current repertoire features the 60 minute work Songs for Heroes and a suite of short dramatic pieces including Four Zitherum which features dulcimer style percussion on the invented string zitherim and Fax to Paris, a short work protesting the ongoing arrogance of French nuclear testing in Eastern Polynesia. The piece features hand clapping, vocal chant and flick percussion on invented 'tone trees'." |
