Description "This lavish new production of Swan Lake is inspired by the autobiography of ballerina Mathilde Kschessinska. Exiled in France after the Russian Revolution, she wrote an account of her life at The Imperial Ballet and her romance with Tsar Nicholas II. In their tragic story, choreographer François Klaus found parallels with the ill-fated love of the Swan Queen and Prince Siegfried. Kschessinska's love for Nicholas endured through many years, but as the dark forces of intrigue and destruction grew around them, he eventually met his grim fate, while she fled to Paris."
