This play is the story of an imagined hack fighter, Joey Dillon who dreamed of being a champion. Set in the world of 'dirty gyms, hard young men, Salvo Halls, tents and sawdust ring during the late 1950's and 60s. Keene's play is a rare combination of fantasy, harrowingly realistic language, nightmares and song. |
