| Title |
Auspicious opening of Desert Song; Local players score big hit |
| Abstract/Description |
The "Desert Song," well known comic opera, which opened a season at the Crystal Theatre on Saturday night, is undoubtedly one of the best mounted and presented shows seen here in years. Undoubtedly also, the big crowd which saw the initial performance was delighted with the show in every way. The "Desert Song" will be presented nightly throughout the week, and as the booking is very heavy for all nights it looks as if the main object of the show, which is to raise funds for the Red Cross, Prisoner of War Fund and Fighting Forces Comforts Fund, will be easily accomplished. |
