| Title |
The Rajah of Shivapore |
| Abstract/Description |
"The Rajah of Shivapore," the melodious comic
opera by Alfred Hill and David Souter, now running at
the Playhouse, has been sumptuously dressed in Orien-
tal style, which show to advantage the group of pretty
girls upon the stage, and Myra Morrison's clever dances
are repealed nightly. George Whitehead's valse song,
"Dear Eyes," and John Quinton's spirited "Song of
the Sword" are warmly encored, and Frederick Ward
and Frank Hawthorn keep up the fun of the smart
piece. There will be 2 o'clock matinees on Monday
and Tuesday. |
