The Trojan Women |
| Abstract/Description |
Miss Stafford gave an emotional rendering of the part of Hecuba, Queen of Troy who is waiting with other women to learn her fate as slave to the conquering Greeks. At moments MissStafford had real dramatic power. The tragic figure Of the broken queen is the dominant personality in the play. The supporting characters were satisfactory, but the atmosphere of the play would have been better sustained had the stage been half-lit all the time. |
