| Description |
In Neil Armfield's production for Lighthouse, Illyria becomes an exclusive seaside resort, far removed from history and the day-to-day affairs of politics. And yet this enclosed world begins to create it's own history. Things that seemed permanent dissolve, fun becomes cruelty, love becomes confusion, beauty a prey to the daily ravages of cigarettes and booze. |
