One of a series of talks on Saturdays at 5pm. This one is "Mr B and American Ballet" - George Balanchine was one of the most prolific of all choreographers. He produced over 400 works during his 50-year-long career in the US. Works that helped to change the look of ballet in the 20th century by embracing and advancing its classical heritage thus enhancing ballet's unique power of poetic expression. |
