| Description |
The commanding forces of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra are harnessed by the simple faith and repetitive optimism of an elderly tramp’s solitary voice in the legendary Jesus’ Blood Never Failed Me Yet. Gavin Bryars’ hypnotic declaration of hope and humanity is joined by a reflection on Wagner, The Porazzi Fragment for 21 solo strings, and two arias from the opera G, along with partner pieces by friends and contemporaries Howard Skempton and Arvo Pärt. |
