| Description |
The Australian String Quartet begins its 30th Anniversary year with an homage to the past and a view to the future. The concert opens with Haydn’s powerful Emperor quartet. Another landmark in 2015 is the centenary of the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli, marked here with an evocative and moving work by one of Australia’s best-known composers, Ross Edwards. Finally, Shostakovich’s third string quartet. |
