| Description |
The bag lady has been portrayed in popular mythology as a nuggety, rebellious, independent - and sometimes even rich - woman whose special brand of madness has led her to prefer a free life on the streets, to Welfare or the restrictions of responsible social life. For Lilly and May the reality is far from this commonly held view of eccentricity. |
