Description |
Josef Ginzburg, a forgotten poet, and Alexandr Shurmansky, a renowned composer, struggle amidst the violence, cruelty and fear surrounding them. It is a life, says Shurmansky, where 'so many unsaid things collect in the soul'. The playwright has borrowed freely from the memoirs of Dmitri Shostakovich and Nadezhda Mandlestam. |
