| Notes | One of the multiple uses of the Queen's Theatre (1840-1842 &1996-) and Queen's Theatre Stables. The stables were located to the east of the theatre with the theatre space used for display of horses during horse and carriage bazaars. Proprieters Formby & Boase (1877) held some of Australia's largest sales with buyers attending from all over the continent. The ring was described as one of the most capacious in Australia. Subsequent Bazaar proprieters included Joseph Boase (1884), Barker & Chambers (1893), T Paltridge & Co, Bulter, Shannon & Co and JW Shannon & Son (1910). | |
