Description |
The Australian Ballet presents Mr B, a tribute to George Balanchine. The three works presented represent the vast range of Mr Balanchine's choreographic styles from the neoclassic Serenade through to the hard edged and bravura Agon (a premiere for The Australian Ballet) finishing with Symphony in C, which pays homage to his Imperial Russian heritage and training.

The programme, Mr B, was performed at the Festival Theatre, Adelaide from 25-29 February, 2004, with Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. The Melbourne season was performed in the State Theatre, the Arts Centre 12-23 March 2004, with Orchestra Victoria & the Sydney season was performed at the Opera Theatre, Sydney Opera House, 1-21 April 2004 with Australian Opera & Ballet Orchestra. |
