Description |
Pal Joey is a 1930's Don Juan of the bars and streets of Northern America. A charming opportunist and an eternal adolescent, he arrives in Chicago unannounced and uninvited and sets about creating havoc in his ambitious pursuit of money, sex and fame - the dark side of the American dream. Finally, 'like in the old plays' as one character observes, he meets his retribution and heads back from whence he presumably came. |
